Milomade

The Milomade motto is "Too good to waste..." and I am a hoarder and a modern day magpie, constantly collecting lost and unwanted things, forgotten items, snippets of colour and patterns, as well as objects washed up by the sea. Everything is categorised and filed away for future use and informs her practice as a jeweller/designer/maker.
Based on the Fife coast in Scotland, Milomade gives discarded, unwanted items a new lease of life. Through the process now commonly termed as 'upcycling', i.e. the practice of taking something unused/unwanted and transforming it into something of greater use and value, I design and manufacture contemporary jewellery, accessories and stationery from recycled materials such as buttons, leather, silver cutlery, maps, envelopes, paper, sea glass and fabric.
Milomade uses 100% recycled packaging and small items will arrive wrapped in crepe paper inside a cardboard pillow box. Larger items and stationery come in either 100% biodegradable cello bags or brown paper packaging. All items are shipped in recycled bubble wrap or padded envelopes and Milomade hopes that you will re-use these too rather than sending them to landfill.
